So delicious and love to be eaten with french fries, if you haven't tried that thing, it's one of my food tripping.Cookiehttp://www.le-cookware.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1910486948926735142.post-73453033793308706832008-06-18T23:19:00.000-05:002008-06-18T23:19:00.000-05:00I love love love avocados too, especially in fresh...I love love love avocados too, especially in fresh salsas and of course it's most glorious form: guacamole. My best way around the brown-ness is like what you said, wrapping the half with the pit still in it, or else I squeeze a little lemon juice onto the top and then wrap it. I find that that bit of lemon flavor enhances whatever the avocado is going into anyway.Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16775294455221513508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1910486948926735142.post-33771851753335048302008-06-14T16:48:00.000-05:002008-06-14T16:48:00.000-05:00Mmm... avocados!Mmm... avocados!RThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04950242851880071880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1910486948926735142.post-22920490226421336922008-06-13T23:18:00.000-05:002008-06-13T23:18:00.000-05:00Oh yeah, one can easily slice off the brown stuff....Oh yeah, one can easily slice off the brown stuff...no problem. My big annoyance is that I can't cut up avocados ahead of time (like earlier in the day), b/c they'll be covered in brown. Nor can I eat only part of it and save the rest for later, b/c of the same problem.

The only thing that does somewhat address this problem is cutting the avocado in half and using the half without the pit immediately. Then I tightly wrap the half with the pit in and use it later that same day. Only slightly brown, not too shabby.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03472185695563612014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1910486948926735142.post-48380136251973395032008-06-13T20:50:00.000-05:002008-06-13T20:50:00.000-05:00So, question: can you eat avocados after they turn...So, question: can you eat avocados after they turn brown by just slicing off the layer of brown stuff? I ask because I know someone who does this (it happens to be me).Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07786365865448680531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1910486948926735142.post-41941624952559598382008-06-12T22:02:00.000-05:002008-06-12T22:02:00.000-05:00You adore avocados...and I adore anyone who adores...You adore avocados...and I adore anyone who adores avocados! ;-) Too bad I can't eat them! I'll have to have at least a couple on hand when you come to visit, so I don't "spoil" your "nearly every day" avocado habit! And the little half pint helper can help eat them as well as someone's father.Mickeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07735734846249048131noreply@blogger.com
